Only one hour south of Perth, Lazy River is nestled within 5 acres of both landscaped gardens and mature native parkland with direct access to the Murray River. This is no ordinary Bed and Breakfast, as the four luxurious and beautifully appointed spa suites and communal spacious lounge are separate from the host's homestead, therefore ensuring guests complete privacy. Choose from a library of books, movies and music if you want to unwind.

A warm welcome awaits you at Lazy River from your hosts Liz and Steve Nicholas. The couple met 37 years ago while training at the prestigious Hotel School in Lausanne, Switzerland and have been active in luxury hospitality ever since.

Steve is originally from England but spent many childhood years in Spain, and Liz is from Kenya in East Africa. Most of their last 37 years were spent in Kenya where they ran hotels and operated their own exclusive restaurant. More recently Steve, the passionate foody, ran his own outside catering company while Liz worked as Marketing Director for a 5 star chain of hotels and lodges.

They relocated to Western Australia in 2002 with a dream of finding a perfect place to build the ideal getaway, drawing on a lifetime of experience. The vision has now been realised and they have incorporated into Lazy River all the elements vital to spoiling and pampering their guests, and offer a very personal and professional service.

Steve is a very accomplished chef, and with all the wonderful produce available in Western Australia he enjoys demonstrating his culinary skills with mouth-watering dishes that are available each evening. The gourmet dinners are served in your suite.
